What if you and your child could...
And you don’t have to figure it out alone!
I’m Evangeline Do, and I created Sewing Camp just for aspiring sewists like you and your child.
The Sewing Camp program makes learning how to sew easy with 12 levels of learning that build upon previously mastered skills and techniques, so your child can confidently create whatever they dream up!
Hold on... I know what you're thinking...
You don't have the time to bring your child to yet another program. I see you Mama, and I hear you.
You're a busy mom, with endless amounts of to-dos on your list and you're beginning to feel more like your child's personal chauffeur than their parent and guardian. You're rushing them to Tae Kwan Do on Monday, Art Class on Tuesday, Swimming on Wednesday, not to mention school, playdates, appointments, family outings and everything in between.
You've been dreaming of spending more quality time at home with those you love, without having to sacrifice your child's hobbies and learning, but there's just not enough time in your day.
Online learning is growing like we've never seen before, making it convenient for people of all ages to obtain the information they want to learn on their own time and schedules, from the comfort of their homes.
Sewing Camp is a monthly, online sewing program designed to take children from a complete beginner to a confident sewist. The video sewing lessons are intended for children aged 8+, but mothers may have fun learning to sew alongside their children! Here's what's included:
Each week you'll receive a new video lesson and assignment in your members area to complete before the next week's lesson. You'll also find weekly bonus activities and printables to take your learning further.
As you progress through the lessons and complete each level of the program, you'll have the opportunity to earn one of 12 embroidered Sewing Camp badges. You'll receive your first Sewing Camp logo patch in the mail when you start!
Each month you will receive a digital Sewing Camp Magazine filled with fun tips, interesting articles, our featured Sewing Camper of the month, and more! Be sure to use the hashtag #mysewingcamp to have your project featured in our instagram feed or magazine!
Sewing Camp is divided into 12 levels of learning to take your child step-by-step through the methods of sewing.
"This class was thoroughly enjoyed by both my son and daughter. My children learned many practical sewing skills and now have the confidence to safely make their own repairs and work on sewing projects on their own. During the class, they made many useful projects that they still use and have decorated around our house."
I wanted to create a course that was easy to digest with weekly content and assignments that would give students just the right amount of information to reach new milestones without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve also jammed packed the course with extra content, including a monthly digital magazine, embroidered sewing badges and certificates, and an online community to share your projects with. Normally the price for one month (4 sessions) of in-person sewing classes ALONE, without the added bonuses would cost: $200/month, but..
"“Sr.Evangeline’s classes were really fun! We had a variety projects that we made. She was thorough in how she taught and went over every step which made it very easy for me to learn. She also had a lot of supplies :) I loved this class and I can’t wait to do more!”"
This program is designed for children ages 8+. Parents are advised to supervise their child when using tools and equipment at home, and to go through the lessons and assignments along side their child.
Once your child has completed a level, an application form will appear that week for you to fill out and apply. Your free badge will then be mailed out to you!
Yes we do!
No you don't! Your membership is good for your whole family. We will send you one badge per account, but you can purchase extra badges for siblings in our secret store.
Each week you will be given a supply list of things you will need to purchase for the following week. Some of the one time purchases you will require are a sewing kit and a sewing machine. We go into more detail in the course about the best tools and machines to buy, and what fabrics and notions you'll be needing.
It takes a little over a year to complete this beginner's sewing program. We hope to add an intermediate level for those who graduate from the beginner's program and would like to continue on. We hope to offer more advanced lessons in garment construction and clothing design in the future.
No problem, you can cancel your membership at any time before the next month begins.
The Sewing Camp has a private Facebook group where you can connect with other Sewing campers! I will hop on weekly to answer questions, provide support and feedback, and cheer you and your child on in your sewing journey!
With your membership you'll receive bonus sewing templates each month to download and create if you're looking to get more sewing practice in!
Each week you'll receive new worksheets to add to your Sewing Camp Workbook, and by the end of the program, you'll have your own fun resource guide!
"“I was very fortunate for my daughter to take sewing classes with Evangeline. She has many years of experience, is very creative and extremely hardworking. All these traits were evident in the beautiful and diverse projects my daughter brought home each week. Although we do not live in the same city, my husband and I were willing to drop our daughter to these classes to help her gain the knowledge and confidence to pursue her sewing interest. Highly Recommended!”"
Hello there! I'm Evangeline Do
I've been sewing for the past 15 years, and teaching children to sew for the past 7 years in my home sewing studio. I love helping children learn the basics of sewing, and working with them to make their ideas come to life. All we need is a bit of fabric and a dash of inspiration and we're on our way! I'm excited to share all I've learned with you in this online program and bring sewing into your home!
